Optimizing your recovery is just as, if not more important than your training. However most of us neglect this aspect of health, fitness and performance. Recovering from the stress of your training session (in addition to the stresses of everyday life) is when your body repairs and adapts, getting stronger, more mobile, more conditioned, etc. Insufficient recovery decreases your body's ability to maximize positive adaptations from your exercise. Or in other words, less gainz. To complicate this further most gym goers pile on high intensity workout on high intensity workout on top of a system that is already highly stressed with no plan in place to manage the stress. A recovery plan is very important. Recovery includes nutrition, hydration, breathing, sleep and tissue maintenance. Physical Culture's Ultimate Recovery Class will use components of our KinStretch class and the Wim Hof Method to focus on breathing, tissue maintenance and the use of cold exposure.

Breathing: too much of our lives are spent passively exchanging gasses and not enough time learning to harness the untapped potential of training mindful breathing. Efficient breathing heightens oxygen levels to improve energy, reduce stress and boost immune system responses. Tissue maintenance: The practice of mindful, controlled movement helps train joint health, range of motion maintenance and improved movement. Joints are dependent on movement to stay functioning optimally. The simple strategy learned in the class can have powerful long term effects on joint health. Cold exposure: The cold exposure helps put your mindfulness, focusing breathing into practice. Benefits of repeated cold exposure includes a buildup of brown adipose tissue and resultant fat loss, reduces inflammation and builds up endorphins. Additional benefits of the class include: -improved mindfulness and focus -better mastery of mind and body control Come try our Ultimate Recovery Class and learn strategies to improve your health and performance.
